Our Mission
The Centre is dedicated to teaching people of all ages, guiding both adults and children, and offering special programs for women. We also do our best to help those in need and encourage teamwork and volunteering, helping build strong connections with the local British community. With its clean space, welcoming feel, and great location in a friendly neighbourhood, the centre is looking to expand, building a bright future for our muslim community.
The History of the Mosque
Omar AlFarooq Islamic Centre began as a humble vision to serve the Muslim community of Harrow. What is now a beautiful and welcoming mosque was once a small local shop. With the help of Allah and the support of our dedicated community, we transformed the space into a place of worship and learning.
From the very beginning, our goal was more than just offering daily prayers. We wanted to build a space that would benefit the whole community, especially the children. That’s why we focused on providing strong Islamic education, with regular classes in Arabic and Qur’an, helping the next generation grow with the right knowledge and values.
Alhamdulillah, the community continues to grow, but the current space is not very large. That is why we are now working on plans to expand the mosque and build a bigger area next to it so that we can welcome even more people in.
From the wudu area to Qur’an shelves and Islamic books available for learning, we’ve tried to think of everything a muslim might need in a masjid. Omar AlFarooq Islamic Centre is a place of prayer, learning, and community — and, insha’Allah, it will continue to grow for the benefit of us all.
